interior air cond/temperature control

Have a 96 993 with air con. The temp seems to blow cold on cold and hot on hot but not alot in between (i.e.warm) this is with a/c on or off
Have checked for fluff blocking temp sensor. the fan at the back of control does work, but isn't on all the time?
Help/ideas appreciated.

thanks soany hope of blowing warm only (not hot or cold) is a dream? should the little fan behind the temp sensor be on all the time with ignition on? is it available as a seperate part?
 
I'm not sure if the fan runs all the time the ignition is on - it does run for a while after the ignition has been switched off. It is available as a separate part - 964 659 148 00.
 
Maurice, blame it on Mark Bennett - administrative power has gone to his head! He thinks I'm cleverer than I really am, but don't tell him that......
