Interior carpet colour

My 1988 944 2.5 has an odd combination of colours inside: it has blue leather seats and door panels along with blue carpets. But the rear hatch area carpets (floor and side carpets) are a sort of off-white/light grey colour, which just sounds - and looks - a bit unusual.
Do you reckon this is an original fitment or will the carpets have originally been blue as well?
The specification sticker is missing from inside the rear panel so thats no help. In fact I'm not sure of what colour the car is officially and can't find a paint code sticker anywhere. Its Silver but with a touch of light gold about it - which doesn't really sound as though it would go with the blue interior.
Does any of this sound right?

Since worked out that the car is Zermatt Silver. Still think the white boot carpet sounds odd though.

Yep, sounds like Zermatt. See the colours faq for pictures.

Carpet is wrong, looks like it's been changed at some point. If you buy a used one, make sure it's the right year and model as the spare wheel sizes vary and the "hump" in the boot carpet won't be right.
