Interior door handle?

Hi all

About an hour ago, I tried to open my drivers door (from the inside) and the handle mechanism just snapped. Not the actual handle, that's fine, but some sort of connection into the door. (I've not been able to look at it as it's dark). I now have to wind down the window and open the door from the outside whenever i arrive anywhere! (The handle itself pulls out with no resistance and won't pop back when released).

I've looked on Clarks Garage and used the search on here, but no luck - all info seems to refer to replacing the outside door handles. Is it a simple job to fix / replace the interior door handles? Shall I look for a complete handle, or can I just dismantle the handle and replace some sort of plastic linkage that has snapped? If I can do it without taking off the door cards, that would be handy...

Any tips / info appreciated!

TIA,

Giles

There is a white clip that holds the linkage firm that enables you to open from inside.

I suspect this has snapped.

You wil need to remove door speakers, handle, pocket and card and replace the white connector held on with two bolts.

Alternatively if you are near lincolnshire you can come to my workshop and i will replace for you

I sell them as part of my 944 / 924 business so please feel free to call me on 07514 944 964

Hi Elliot

Thanks. Nowhere near Lincolnshire unfortunately. However, I had a quick look at the door this morning, and it looks to me like part of the actual handle may have snapped rather than a linkage inside the door. I'll have a closer look with a screwdriver when I get the chance. In the meantime, do you sell the actual door handles? And what would the price be for a handle or a replacement white linkage? (By all means e-mail me if you'd rather not post it here...)

Cheers.

Give me a call when you have had a look as i sell anything you need and they are not expensive#
cheers Elliot
