i noticed today a interior noise, I reckon its the fan or blower in the passenger footwell area. I didn’t sound happy so I turned it off. Question, is there only one ? And is it a easy diy job or a job for someone else ?
thanks

Hi,
I had this exact problem last year.
It was caused by the heating fan behind the dash in the passenger side where you described.
It was easy to remove and once out of the vehicle was clogged up with dust etc. I cleaned it up with acetone on a cotton bud and used acetone on all of the electrical contacts which were also grubby.
It worked a treat and I haven't had a problem since.
I followed the step by step guide below.
I have no practical mechanical skills either. It took me an hour from start to finish.
Regards
Gerry

I sometimes geta low growly sound, quite quiet, when the aircon is switched on and I'd say it's in the centre top row of the dash: was this your noise?

Hi Pete,
Mine was more like the sound of the fan blades making contact with the shroud that covers them.
It did occasionally make a higher pitched squeal though.

Gents, thanks for the replies, looks like I’m getting up close and personal with the passenger footwell this weekend ! After checking out the pollen filter.

Fan finally gave in today, so the old one is out and a replacement on order, easy job thanks to the earlier post with a link to pelican parts ??
