interior lights - how do I replace the bulbs....

.....without destroying my car!!

Both my interior lights (in the roof) have blown and I cannot for the life of me get the covers off to replace the bulbs! I know you are supposed to 'ease out' with a screwdriver but all I appear to be doing is trying to move an immovable object and getting increasingly agitated and increasingly likely to leave marks on the black surround.

Do they 'pop' easily and I simply have some stubborn examples or am I missing a trick here?

Cheers,

Mark

Each light unit comes out whole. They are held in with little spring clips and you need to make sure you push the clip back with a screwdriver or other long thin implement, otherwise you end up forcing the spring back against itself. If you push the whole unit towards the rear window it will compress the spring nearest the rear and you should be able to lever the end nearest the front windscreen out more easily.

I hope this makes sense!

Darren

Thanks Darren,

So - you mean push the black surround rather than the clear plastic 'light'? i.e. the whole thing comes out from the roof?

Ta,

Mark
