Intermittent headlight issue

Quick question, when I turn on the headlights the passenger side seems to only work intermittently. Any suggestions as to what this could be? Side lights etc work fine at all times? Have been told it could be headlight amplifier! Thought I'd read on here somewhere that it could be headlight switch but can't seem to find the post so maybe I was wrong. Was told it was unlikely to switch as if that was the problem neither headlight would work.

Many thanks

The most likely culprit is the connector in the front wing. The headlamp unit plugs in to a socket mounted on the bracket on the headlamp tray in the wing. The clips on the socket can pop out of the bracket, and the headlamp unit won't full engage in the socket. Check this, and give the connector a spray with contact cleaner (if you have some) before re-assembly.

Many thanks Richard for the fast answer. I'll have a look at that when I get back home tonight, I'll let you know.
