Intermittent power loss at full throttle

I dont know if its the cold but my cars been losing power with the pedal all the way down, this can be at any speed, back off and it comes back. Doesn't happen all the time (I don't actually floor it that often <cough>) but a bit disconcerting when it does especially in low gears. Im not talking a slight loss or a flat spot, but more like taking your foot off the gas completely.

any ideas and help appreciated.



 
If it was a Turbo I would say its the overboost safety cutting in because the colder air is giving you too much luverly power [8D]

But you don't have a turbo so I can't think what it was? [&:][&:][&:]

See if it happens again during the next cold snap
