Internal Buzzer

I've just discovered that my car should have an "internal buzzer". It does not work. Discovered this while talking to Hamilton & Palmer about why alarm master fob was not working for programming a new key fob. Master does work, just the buzzer does not.

Anyway - a question for you more experienced chaps: Is this buzzer part of the car, or the alarm? Anyone know where it is so I can take a look and see if there is a broken connection?

I may not bother - no buzzer is probably a good thing. My 2006 car likes to beep at me far too much.

Mine buzzes when I open the door with the ignition off and the lights on - it's sounds like something from the 60's, it's brilliant!

Buzzer seems to work fine with the lights-on, door-open test.

So, is the alarm-buzz different from the lights-on-door-open buzz?

Are we confusing the lights on buzzer with the Alarm Immobiliser beep....

Lights buzzer sounds like a bee on its last legs....alarm buzzer sounds after approx 20-30 seconds and is an intermittent beep...

I get the buzz, not the beep.

I guess I'm very happy that this is all I have to worry about! I can certainly live without an alarm beeping.

The only beeps or buzzers that I am aware of is the (1) buzzing sound you get if you leave the lights on and open the door with the ignition off, and (2) the 5 beeps you get to warn that you are running out of time to turn the ignition on after de-immobilizing the car.
