Finally964rs
New member
Hi guys,
I am new to this forum and therefor I thought it might be good if I introduce myself.
My name is Boris and I live in Aachen, Germany ( close to Spa and close to the RING )
Since I was young (44 now) the 964rs was the one for me. This year I was in the position to afford one - finally!,
So I started searching....and searching....and still searching... I checked out the papers, the web and also the dealers.
Someone offered a purple one, next one was red, third one had an accident and so on. My dreamcar was in maritim blue.
After a couple of months I found one at germansportscars.net and contacted the owner. Too bad he was on vacation and the car was sold a day before I recieved an aswer.
Then I found one in midnight blue, mint condition with only 15.000 miles on it. Unfotunatelly the car stood in Tokyo. Should I buy that one? It wasn't maritim blue and all I had was pictures but it was a german lhd version and from the pics it looked like new.
A friend of mine who owns a 993 told me that you can search for ages without finding the perfect car. Then you buy another one only to find the one you were looking for two weeks later.
What can I say? I bought that japanese car and while it was still on the ship to Bremerhafen, Mr Schmitz from germansportscars.net called me to offer a maritim blue 964 rs. I drove to his store without any intensions. I just wanted to see what I had missed.
When I arrived I couldn't believe my eyes. The car looked almost brand new! It took me an hour to decide if a farther can live with his family under a bridge but have two Porsches instead of just one. Well, it's a really nice bridge[].
Btw, the maritim belonged to a guy from England. I am almost sure he was ( or still is a member of this club).
I will upload a pic in the next days.
Cheers
Boris
