Hello everyone,

I’m new here! Just bought a 2023 992 Targa 4 GTS, in crayon. I live in London and wanted yo say hi. It’s my first Porsche and I’m so thrilled! I’ll be getting it at the end of this week! Pics of the car sitting in the dealership.

I can’t wait to start driving it….. never driven a 911 before :)

Welcome to the community. We look forward to welcoming you to future club events. Please do use this forum to ask questions or share your thoughts.

Thanks so much for the welcome, Tim!
Yes, I plan on attending, making friends, and asking silly newbie questions!

Very smart! Great introduction to the brand. A very different experience to other sports cars - you’ll enjoy it I’m sure.

Thanks so much Peter! It’s my first sports car…. Well maybe second, I used to have a TT a looooong time ago. Not sure that’s classed as a sports car :) I used to love it Though!

Hi EasygoingUK,

Welcome to Porsche ownership and we hope that you have a great ownership experience with your new 992 Targa GTS, it is the same specificatio as my car so I am sure it will give you miles of smiles.

To ensure that you receive regular communications from the 992 Register team, could you ensure you have added your car to the My Profile section within the Porsche Club website.

Details are…..
Please click on this link https://www.porscheclubgb.com/my-account/edit-profile and then scroll down to the ‘MY PORSCHES’ section and ADD YOUR PORSCHE.

Also scroll further down to the ‘CONTACT PREFERENCES’ section and click the EDIT tab. It is possible to select a new REGISTER (992) , enter the basic car information and save. This with then add you to the 992 databases.

In addition, I am not sure if you are on Facebook, but again at the beginning of this year I created a new 992 Register Facebook group which is purely restricted to PCGB members, and you may find that this is another good source of information on events etc.
The link is HERE.

We all look forward to meeting you at one of the 992 Register or even National Porsche Club GB events in the near future, we plan to launch our 2024 Event calendar early in January, but please contact me again should you have any difficulties with the above process.

Kind Regards David (992 Register Secretary)

Thanks so much for all this kind info, David! As soon as I have the plate number I’ll add the details! This is so helpful!

And yes, looking forward to meeting you and everyone else soon. It’s great to feel part of the community already, I still cant believe it!

Congrats, what a choice for a 1st 911! You say you have never driven one before. If it is a new, new car from a Porsche dealer, you do have a complimentary 0.5 day session with PEC, Silverstone.

To say I’m happy is the understatement of the year. Just need the rain to stop for a few days!

Getting it PPFed on Friday…
