hi all, have got standard single slot head unit , i wish to upgrade to an aftermarket, head unit, that will accomadate my iphone, (for music playback), has anyone got some experience they could share , i notice there is a thread , but it about a newer model,
sunny day at the moment, so driving fifty miles to have a coffee, makes sense when you going in a boxster!

Have you considered the Parrot RKi8400?

You can store your iPhone inside it and control it from the headunit. I've had one since they came out in my 986 and have been very pleased with it

Have a look at www.parrot.com if you need more info

Hi,if you have the becker head unit and do not have an autochanger, you can wire your ipod into the autochanger port at the back of the unit(with a adapter lead)Hope this helps,Simon.

I changed the headunit to an alpine ida-x001 which purely for iPod has both analogue and full speed connections, the full speed allows artwork and is much faster to navigate, also have the extra alpine bluetooth module for the phone. I am considering selling this, so if it interests you send me a note I can post some pics etc for you.

I assuming you have a 986, but year of car would help us to make a better recommendation for you.
