iPhone/iPod and FM transmitter solutions

For those of us who have no intention of getting a new car to be able to connect up our iPhone/iPods, what is the easiest way of doing this?

I have read lots of posts about hard-wiring solutions in to car but nothing really on using FM transmitters which Apple seem to suggest to use. Are these FM transmitters really that bad if they scan for the clearest open frequencies? They are 1/10th the cost of hard-wired options and also much easier to fit.

I am not looking on hooking up phone/video/etc from my iPhone 3G, just music (on pre-programmed playlists).

Of course I also have an iPhone 3G compatibility issue with most solutions out there given the 3rd party manufacturers have struggled to get the phones due to crazy demand.

If find the iTrip is great when I'm on the motorway or away from major cities. E.g London, Manchester, Birmingham.
Otherwise I find it a bit poor in terms of quality as there seems to be too mucn interference.
I live and work in London and can't use mine when i drive to work.
I am going to get the Denison or what ever the other one is called installed as I want control through the PCM.

Thanks - this was the other one I was looking at:

Seems hard-wiring may be the only valid option :(

How much approx is the mObridge solution? The only place I have seen a price is on ebay for £300 - but I assume that's just the kit and not fitted price.

No problem.

m0bridge - that was the one i was thinking of.
I think m0bridge is approx £300 but that would not be fitted.
Oceancerrera a regular on here is a UK stockist, might be worth sending him a private message or email.

Big discussion between m0bridge and Denison can be read here:

The m0bridge sounds the better option to me.

mMobridge from Higer Octance is £300 and, if you have a CD Changer, a not too difficult option to fit your self.
