ipod connection

Hi David

I think that it is quite a difficult and expensive thing to do - and risks any Porsche warrantly you may have or want. Given that you cannot get true Hi Fi sound in a mobile environment, partcularly in cars like a Porsche 911, I would suggest you try something like http://www.dabs.com/category/electronics,portable-audio-video,accessories/11221?q=griffin%20itrip (sorry for the advertising but I am sure other sell them!). For 30 odd quid it may be worth a try - unless you live in London or another major city, where clear frequencies may be difficult to find..

Regards

Richard

Have you considered making up some MP3 CDs? I am no expert but some time ago, with help from someone on this forum IIRC, I made up a couple. About 150 tracks per CD, no warranty issues or expense other than a few blank CDs.

I had heard that the Porsche unit will not play MP3's on CD?
The Porsche PCM disc will play MP£ files quite happily.
The 6 disc changer only plays CDs' though.

I do the MP3 disc option and I also have a Itrip that I revently purchased fro my van....

will an OPC not be able to fit the Ipod/Iphone to a car albeit expensively?
only their own, which is a Itrip from what I understand....
Non Porsche spec would still exclude you from extended warranty..
