Hi,

Sorry if this has been done before but I am new to this forum malarky. My question is, does anyone know how to go about connecting an iPOD mini instead of/in conjunction with the Porsche sound system ?

Tks

Which model year?

There is a Denison ice-link product for pre-2002 cars available now, and one in the pipeline for later cars.

Personally I use an iTrip, works OK if you can find a spare FM frequency, no problems here in Norfolk as radio has only just been introduced!

I have an unused Dension kit and Proclip for sale which works with the CDR22 onwards if you are interested? I bought it and then ended up changin my head unit cos I had a CDR21 which was not compatible.

Let me know if you are interested.

Regards

Phil

Tomorrow I will visit Thames Car Radio, http://www.tcr-online.co.uk, and I will know which unit they require.
I think I have the CDR22 so I could be potentially very interested on your unit.
What is your asking price including postage?

Cost me £115 plus P&P for the Dension and the Proclip (the mount requiring no drilling or glueing). If you want, let me have the £99.00 for the cost of the Dension and throw the Proclip in for free plus the cost of the P&P depending on how you want it sending?

Hi Phil
Thanx for the update, but I have not yet been to TCR.
It is on my agenta, but things came up so I cannot promise exact date.
I do not know if one has to buy the unit from them or they would only charge labour?!
Cheers

If you have a standard CDR22, then fitting it yourself takes little more than 15 mins DIY. I can email you the fitting instructions if you want?

The model number will be on the front of the radio and I will scan the instructions and email them, can you drop me an email to r8@porscheclubgb.com so I have your email address.

If it's a CDR24, unfortunately the Dension, currently, won't work. Everything went optical in the 24 and Dension have yet to work the solution out. The ipod FM transmitter do-hickima thing would be an option in the 987.

I keep checking their website for updates but nothing usefull at the moment. I'm in a similar posish. so i'm waiting. I'm looking at getting a link for the Renault aswell.
