Hiya
I currently own a really nice little Black Boxster and i love it, but just recently my sister had a baby and now im wondering if i should get something more practicalw with 4 seats.
Its a bit annoying that i either have to walk/bus or arrange to meet her wherever we choose to visit.
I could probably get at least £10k for my car because of the spec but i wondered if owning a 911 would be the right move?
Things i like about my car:
Cheap insurance £500 fully comp
Cheap tax £270 per year
Its only a 2.7 so cheap to run everyday (i get 25mpg on average)
I like having 'newer features' that you dont get on 'pre2005 model porsches', things like the newer shape steering wheel, the PCM system.
Loads of space for luggage or shopping.
Observations for the 911:
I would need to buy a newer model so i dont feel like im in an 'older car',
I think i might want to try a flappy paddle gearbox instead of a manual. Is this a wise idea? What should i look out for? Any issues?
I dont want to pay any more tax than i already do (maybe a slight increase but not £450).
With the addition of back seats i know i will be able to fit equally as much in as the boxster so im not worried about space.
I defo want a soft top.
What budget should i be working to? (Assuming i can find a reasonably low mileage one, less than 50k)
Can you put a babyseat in the back?
Or should i just buy something more obvious like a BMW or Mercedes?
Your wise advice is appreciated!
