Cars up to 14 years old are now eligible for Porsche Extended Warranty provided the mileage does not exceed 125,000.
Cost is £1,100 for 12 months or £1,920 for 24 months (13 year old cars) as standalone warranty or £1,020 and £1,840 for warranty extension.
Eligibility for Approved Warranty is subject to a 111 point check (charged at fixed cost of £180 +VAT) plus any work identified by the check.
Porsche Centres will absorb the cost of this in a service if carried out at the same time.

Clive.

Over the 2 1/2 year period I owned my 997.2 RS, I had £18kish of warranty work on it & that was just for parts??
While ever I run one of these cars & it is eligible for the warranty, it will have it. You hope that things won't go wrong & in the majority of cases they don't. But, if they do go in a big way, get ready for a wallet busting experience if you don't have that cover!!!

You then have the choice of a one year policy or two as below:
One year - £1020.00
Two year - £1840.00
Porsche Assistance policy bolt on:
One year – £175.00
Two year - £285.00"
Above are the prices I've been quoted in case they're of interest / relevance .
My local PC includes a free warranty check when made simultaneously with a major service. They do this on the basis much of the work needed is duplicated during the process.
I guess, in the end, it depends on how competitive the total service cost is because if they're discounting this, there may be less margin to enable them to provide a free check.

Clive
