Tonight, I found the original receipt for the 356 1600 that my father bought in 1961 from a dentist in Edinburgh. As it gave the reg.no., I thought I'd look it up on the DVLA site, and it would appear to still exist, and still in use !!

We'd love to make contact with the current owner....faither always regretted selling this one.....[:(] So, does anyone know of a red, 1957, 1600, reg.no. CXS 153 ??

Any info. please PM me. Ta !

ORIGINAL: 912UK

have you checked the DVLA's web site. you can or could get when it was last tax'd

That's exactly what I did do, and it's due 1/June/2008....so would appear to be an "active" car.

Can't recall seeing the reg at any club events - try dropping the Register Secretary a line or give him a ring.

Just keep at him as he does sometimes take a long time to get hold of..

OK other question is it RHD if so then give Mike at PRS services a call as he is putting togeather alot of RHD cars so he may already know who's got the car..

Keep us informed I found the orginal owner of my 1965 912 last month.. 94 and we had a 1 hr chat on the phone what a nice guy..
