IS IT JUST ME OR.......

Does everyone get out of their car sometimes and think "i just love that car"!!!
Just enjoyed a "spirited" [;)] drive home from work this morning at about 4am along the A30 and M3 from Heathrow to Surrey, about 22 miles. Left the same time as 2 mates, one in an impreza wrx and other in a skoda octavia VRS,which is no slouch, who both go the same way. Backed up on the drive with a silly smile, got out and looked back and thought "i bloody love that car"!!

Or,as the missus would say,am i sad??

Cheers and goodnight!

Dave

No your not sad i am the same,it takes me a good 2-3 hours to clean my supersport targa,1 hour cleaning the rest of the time standing back walking round the car admiring its sleek lines and timeless design.
If that makes you Sad then i am definately a Saddo!!!!!

I've had mine for seven months now and I still have to go in the garage for a 'look' every night when I get home from work.

Yesterday, I did a 250 mile round trip in my wife's new Boxster S. Deeply impressed, superb car.

Then, had to pick up my '88 911 Club Sport from its annual service at Lovetts. Fantastic. 17 years separate them but, smiles per mile, the little 'clubby' is unbeatable.

Just out of interest, you didn't say how it compared with the Impreza and Skoda across country??? Oh yeah I forgot, I never stop beaming, whether I am looking at it or driving it!!!

I am working as a psychologist and after listening to all kinds of problems the whole day, I guarantee you that a 30 mile spirited drive throug the belvoir vale with the roof off (I have a targa), I come home home as tame as a lamb.

You are not alone - I can see mine parked on the drive out of the lounge window and I think I spend more time looking out than at the telly.

I've driven to Leeds and to Manchester from Berkshire in it and always feel alive at the end of the journey rather than tired and bored stupid like you do in a modern car - and yes I get out, look back and think "I bloody love that car".

I've only got one question... why oh why didn't I buy one of these superb cars years ago insteading just dreaming about it!

How interesting ! When I look at articles about my car, I think "wow, I'd like one of those"...and then I drop into the garage to get something from the fridge and it just catches me out;

"There's one of those cars I've just been reading about "

And that's after over 3yrs. I think we are all infected and there is no cure !

I do the same. Just pop in to the garage to get something and then spend the next ten minutes just staring at it. I even give it a loving pat on the roof as i leave the garage[&:]

I know what you all mean. I have had my SSE Cab for 3 years and still have trouble believing how great it looks and drives. My wife says there is no better 911 than this version.

Just can't get enough of it.

I remember when my brother changed the air filter on his 3.2 - instead of throwing the old filter in the bin he actually put it on the pillow next to his pillow in his double bed and slept with it. He said that he loved waking up to the smell of his motor.

And I swear this is true.

Unbelievable. [:D]

We've just moved house and last night, unpacking boxes I found my favourite photo of my car. I said to my wife "I can't wait to put this up next to my bed."

She replied "I can't believe you actually want a photo of a car next to your bed!"

I think it's perfectly normal!

same feeling here after 10 years, never goes away. luckily mywife feels ...well almost, the same way about it.

Feeling is believing!
Took my nephew out on his birthday for a spin, his 1st 911 experience. He's 22 ,drives a civic and a die hard ,hot hatch enthusiast! Sorry, was a die hard, hot hatch enthusiast!
His parting words on his birthday were ,"when I can afford it,this is the car i want". He even made me promise not to sell it without offering it to him first!
Yes:we all love that bloody car!!!
