Can you beleive that an OPC does not carry a MAF on the shelf?

I called Mid Sussex OPC have my MAF replaced and I have to leave the car for a day and half to get it diagnosed and then if I (and others on this forum) are right and the PSM and ABS light coming on after hard accelaration is indicating the MAF is in knackered, they will order one and then fit it the next day!

Shelf space must be a premium in these new OPC premises. Bet I could buy a bloody teddy bear in racing overalls anyday!!!!

Give me strength!!!!

I hope you aren't paying - ie it is a warranty claim. If not, change it yourslf - it's a 10 minute job, and Euro Car Parts always have dozens in stock.

Unbelieveable that an OPC doesn't have one on the shelf. My indy always carries all three types, as they are a fast moving item for him.

I suspect that OPC's only stock service items. They probably rely on the central store at Reading to provide other parts on next morning delivery basis. And yes this could be true of other countries even Germany as well. So long as your provided with a decent lone car and not too inconvenianced coupled with the right result, so be it.

Oh yes Richard, this is the first time anything on my car has a problem that is under warranty in 3 years of extending the warranty. (£2.5k MAF gulp)

Ron's spent £2500 in warranty premiums, and all he has to show for it is a £150 MAF sensor. If it wasn't covered by the warranty, he could have done it himself in 10 minutes..................
