If you are lucky enough to have a Porsche as a daily driver, enjoy the driving experience and can afford the running costs including depreciation then good on you[
]. Those of us with "weekend toys" can still enjoy the driving experience, every trip in mine is a dynamic joy the best handling car I have ever driven. Every drive in a Porsche is an "Experience", as indeed it is in many other marques.[]
There are of course many owners out there who have no idea about what constitutes a good driving experience they just want to be seen in a Porsche[], if thats their bag then good luck to them too.
Car ownership is a complex issue especially if you try and analyse the "ownership experience" and what it means to you , its so personal. Just look at the diversity of opinion in this club's forum.
Whatever your car is, if it gives you pleasure and enjoyment for whatever reasons thats a good thing for you, most of us enjoy our cars, I hope you do to!

I don't know what era of car you have but in my case with the cars I have I would not want to drive a Porsche without another car in between for more than around 4 days. Sometimes peace and quiet is nice.
I have a new boss at work and he said to me this week "Not in the Porsche today then?" I replied that I looked at both cars (911 & Fiesta) and that I couldn't be doing with the noise. [

Driving to work in your Porsche has to be one of the least enjoyable ways of driving. Its tedious, boring, busy+congested, and hardly ever any overtaking oportunities what so ever. I probably get to drive mine twice a week if im lucky. So when I do finaly get to drive it, its more of an event, and a real buzz. Id probably be the most angry person in the world if it was a daily driver.Oh and skint.
there are times when i use the porsche just a couple of times a week and other times(usually uni holidays)when the other 3 cars are all being used and I have to use it as my daily(shame!)driver
