Hi all
I have a 1995 Pre Varioram C4, Ninemiester say they have never seen one before.
Where can I check for curiosity ? Unless lots of you say you have one.
Thank You

I have one sitting in my garage - don't think there's anything particularly rare about them, just not as common as varioram models because they were in production longer.

I have a list of production numbers somwhere but can't for the life of me think where. If I can find it post.

If you look in the FAQ section of the 993 forum here there is the sales numbers by year. C4 is rarer than C2 but still a reasonable number built on 1995. Not many in 1994.
Ian.

993 c2 were first delivered from abt March 1994[ pre varioram of course ] i wanted to change mine when the c4 arrived approximately 6 months later................hence not so many 'early ' ones in that year................TBH it wud have cost a fortune to do and thherfore i did nt ..............................got my 1 st 4wd Porsche last month .............Cayenne for the snow !

As to the launch date in the UK of the 993 C2, it was (officially) 17 Dec 93. My first 993 was registered that day as an AFN demonstrator. However, I have seen a further 993 registered even earlier, and not an import, it was a RHD UK spec first registered 26 Nov 93...! If I recall correctly, that was also originally a demonstrator. They were both Polar Silver as I think were most of the 'launch cars'.

looks like only 47 Pre Vario C4 cabrios came into the UK .... I think that might actually make my cabrio rarer than my 1973 2.4S [:D]

Bloody hell , i only did a Test Drive , at AFN in Feb '94, and put a deposit down same day;car turned up as spec still on an L plate [ colleagues said i wud loose out on reg on resale ,they were right] Midnight blue was a special order then , i thought it was one of the 1 st around ......sorry i m wrong !

Ps drove past the other day, Richard Laine still sitting in the window , sun reflecting off his dome ............

James, not sure what colour yours is, but if you narrow it down by detail spec and colour, it's quite possibly unique !
