Hello, I'm new to the forum and to Porsche ownership. Found a beautiful polar silver 993 and, after a satisfactory PPI, I bought it. Now I'm hearing a lot of clicking coming from the rear end, especially when backing around the drive in the morning. Seems to be gettting worse. Searching the rennlist forum I found mention of LSD problems and indications that the LSD in the 993 does not hold up well. Can anyone tell me if there is a simple way to determine if the LSD is failing? Can continuing to drive the car in such a condition result in damage to other components?
I'm also new to the UK and would appreciate recommendations for independent Porsche mechanics in the Surrey area. Many thanks for any help that can be provided.
