Is it too high mileage to touch?

Is a 2005 997 C2S with 88k miles on the clock (with full service history) too high mileage to touch? Would anyone like to guess the life expectancy of this engine and running gear?
What sort of faults should I be looking out for?

depends on the price i guess!if it is going for £25k then i`d go for it!!anything near£30k and forget it as it may well incur costs in the near future as wear and tear items need renewing

I agree - these cars are bullet proof but everything has an end of life. 88K is way outside the norm for a 4yr old car, especially a 911. Im sure however that there is no reason to doubt Porsche reliability, however its all about the price. If its the cheapest 997 C2S you have ever seen and its in fair condition other than the mileage then it sounds like a go-er...

Have the vendor put it into an OPC for the 111 point warranty check. If it passes, then for peace of mind take out a warranty. I believe that Porsche will accept cars up to 120k miles.
