Is the Porsche 111 point check enough

Hi

We have found a lovely 986 that we are going to but subject to a check and clear HPI.

As the car is a private purchase and carries an existing Porsche Approved Used warranty, do you think just having an 111 point check carried out on will be enough or should we get some other check(s) carried out?

Many thanks

Tan

I recently purchased a 996 which I had an 111 point check on, took over 21/2 hours and was vey comprehensive to the point of being anal!
Found some things I did not see and therefore allowed me to get the price down some more to cover the work needed.
Its basically the same check any porsche dealer does on any car they will put through their showroom as Porsche have very specific requirements on this.
Cost of mine was £200 and well worth it, answered all my questions in fact went back the next day to ask some more with no problems.[;)]

An HPI check is a good idea because it brings out any insurance issues that the current owner might not say about. It also tells you if the car is subject to finance. This is important because if you buy it and the current owner doesn't pay off the finance the car can be repossessed from you.

I carried out an Experian Autocheck which is as expected and showed that there is outstanding finance which the seller had told me about.

The car is in for its 111 point check tomorrow :)
