Is The UK Safe To Park Your 993?

Well, I must admit Durham is! Parked the Porker in a multi storey car park for two hours with my drivers window fully down, face of the radio in situ, digi SLR behind the divers seat (in a non descript bag) all because i put the window down to enjoy the flat six resinating through the car park! Got back to the car and thought wow, I've never seen my window look so clean and I was right it was all the way down!!!! The wife nearly wet her knicks laughing at what a "charlie" I was, Im sure thats what she said!! Any how, it is something I plan on NOT repeating!

Done that more than once. The solution? Only wind the window down 3/4 - then you can clearly see the dirty bit.
And don't leave anything grabable visible.

Always good to hear that GB not the lawless banana republic our media seems to relish saying it is

if in doubt,,,come and park in the east end of london,,i mean "proper" east end like stepney, bethnal green, wapping and whitechapel,,,your car will remain pristine,,,may have lots of youngsters asking you about the car but damage! never,,
kind of like new york in the 70s and 80s,people look at the cars as something they would aspire to and love to look but not touch,,
a bold statement to make considering the reputation of the "east end" but one must speak as you find and this is with nearly 40 years of living in the east end ,born and bred,,,jason p

Jason,

please don't put the kiss of death on whitechapel! I've lived here for 12 years.... I do agree most people in whitechapel love the old 993... but some toe rag many years ago broke into my garage and took the prescription raybans, wheel lock key and stereo face plate from my MX-5...
