Mike,

Your spec will have no baring on the lead in as they are all 'standard' options. I had to wait 9 months for mine one year ago so perhaps you will not have to wait quite so long now supply is catching up with demand. OPC are the best people to advise on this, mine were accuarate to within a week or two from time of order.

From the horses mouth - I had a visit from the factory IT guys - they claim they are running at about 3 months now. Cant remember if that was 911 they were talking about at the time though. They were also saying their promise dates are much more reliable AND they now have a mechanism in place to warn you if the dates change significantly.

And it DOES matter which options you choose. If they have supply problems with particular components (eg certain wheels) their new system calculates the earliest delivery date and gives it back to the dealer within 24 hours. Dealers and country importers are limited on what they can order within a certain time period. They can plan down to the very day, but only offer you a weekly slot until they have built confidence in the system that went live earlier this year. Interesting chat around how they allow you to change the spec as the build date gets nearer too.
