Hi all
Your probably in the same boat at the minute, the wife has either had me Christmas shopping or visiting family and friends since breaking up from work last Friday. I haven't had a spare minute, it's like she has a planned routine for every day.
Anyway I received my Heater CCU back from the states yesterday, after is was fully repaired and tested. (Now has a lifet time warranty) I tested it last night and great all seems fine.
But today with the sun out and finally a spare hour, it was the perfect day to test it fully - a test drive to get car up to temperaure.
So off I set with no plan, just take which ever road / direction I fancied. I ended up on some windy roads with some great places to open her up.
Is there anything better than listening to the flat six through the rev range (I'm currently running a de-cat pipe and G pipe so I get a great gargling sound as well). Radio turned off - it was heaven.
Then just to prove she still has it, I was followed by a VW Scirocco for about 4 miles through small villages. He was driving right up my backside. Anyway the road straightened up and conveniently changed from a 40 to national. "It would be rude not to, is what I thought" so I dropped into 3rd and floored it........ Lets just say I didn't see the VW again.
Finally to reward her for being a good girl at Christmas, I think she deserves some presents.
So I have bought:
Clear front lights
RS ducts
RS rear centre bumper piece
Near side bumper with dual pipe cut out.
In the new year she will go into the body shop for these painting and fitting.
She will also have the front splitter touched up
She is a lucky girl.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year All
