Is there room behind the front bumper for triple air horns?

Having learned from this lovely forum that the horn by the battery serves the alarm and that the "proper" horn is down behind the front bumper, and before I source the trim clips prior to removing the front bumper I'm going to ask: is there room down there for relay, pump and three air horns or am I looking to relocate somewhere else perhaps behind the headlights or even up near the battery?

I'm also open to the idea that the plastic trumpets on the air horns could be N% flimflam and not wholly and completely essential to making a loud high note sound.

Obliged to you, thank you. I don't expect to find a third rad (C2 Cab). If down there is impossibly tight I need to find another location but I've got to then disable the existing horns and pick up the power supply. Not today, it's raining, not today it's two-thirty!

The horns are situated next to the 3rd radiator if it is fitted. Look at the car from the front, its to the left. Its tight in there, have a look at this link and see https://www.porscheclubgb.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=429799. You might be able to squeeze the pump in but not the trumpets. Or a couplf of trumpets but not the 3rd or pump.

Hi there

You could put the pump across the front under the skirt and extend the air hose to the trumpets.

Not sure why you would want the air hornes as the porsche horns are very good, I da a typical dead one of the two but bought the two on Ebay at circa £12.00 and swapped them over - all good under the hood and loud too.

cheers

Mike

Hi,

Good idea to invest in a bit more pipe.

I want air horns because I'm a 62-yr old child really! [:D] The OEM horns are quite loud but the note is lower than I would like: not quite as attention grabbing.

Traditional air horns are very delayed and will sound ridiculous on a 996.

However stobel and a some other brands make compact air horns where the compressor and horn are one peice.
They are very loud and compact and this would be the route to take.

Oh golly!

I've never been aware of a delay and I don;t really understand why they'll sound diriculous unless what you have in mind is a set of horns which play a simple tune like Colonel Bogey or La Cuccaracca?

To each their own opinion however:)
