Did Porsche ever make a spoiler like this ?
It looks huge

The 924 GTR had a large one similar to this, but this one looks quite a bit even larger...

Well the genuine race one looked pretty horrid IMHO but ISTR looked different to this as I don't remember the leading edge down the sides being as angled as that one.

This looks genuine from the photos. Both Excellence magazine and Panorama (PCA magazine) have run an article on this model very recently - a Red one so probably a little faster. The goofy hood scoop looks right based on the magazine photos. Excellence magazine is available on the internet without a subscription - Panorama is the club magazine so believe membership is required to view.

The ad says all the work is receipted, done at OPC, but did they use Porsche parts? if it is a GTR spoiler, the evidence will be there..

note "GT style" intercooler

It's a strange car - why would you spend all that money to make a CGT replica and leave the NACA duct in the bonnet?

It definatley looks like the GTR spoiler, whether it is genuine or one of the replicas made by the one of the US racing bodyparts suppliers I don't know.

Here's a pic of one of the Le Mans GTR's for sale by Freisinger recently:

Thanks Paul.

That's the one. looks ok on the full on race car but way too big for a carrera gt copy.

Indeed. I'd not seen that size before, I've only seen the flatter version.

Still think it's hideous. [&o]

It is Paul it is. But i'm still strangely drawn to the car. But I'm too busy and on holiday a over the next month so there's nothing I can do about it.

I put in a five grand offer,(sort of "tongue in cheek") but the seller turned me down flat [8|]. It never sold and, has been re-listed.
Bids now stand at £4,600.00. Don't figure.
