is white a lemon?

S2's do look good in white, if a little more period than some of the metallic colours, but it's a good thing IMO, just makes you remember your driving a vintage Porsche[]
Difficult to sell, load of b*ll*cks...........was told the same in '94 when I had a '90 944 S2 in white -had no trouble shifting that.
And strangely, white doesn't seem to show the dirt as much as a dark colour.

I go along with Mel on that. My white Lux didn't look dirty untill is was washed, and only then did it become obvious how dirty is was. My black Turbo looks dirty even after it has been washed.
White doesn't show dings and small dents either.
The only down side I can see is that the panel shut lines look more obvious, and thus wider, on a white car and any rust stands out like a sore thumb. The latter point can also be taken as a plus as no rust can be allowed to fester un-noticed.

I sold a lovely 944S2 in white to a lady near Preston. It was gleaming after it was all cleaned up with Zymol. I know she now needs to sell it so if it is the same one, snap it up.

Thanks very much guys - i feel much more assured that buying white would not be a mistake.
Allan - i don't suppose you have any contact details for the lady in Preston who wants to sell?
cheers
