I know this technically the right place for the car, but I was advised you might be able to help me.


I have a 1986 (Creg) 924s, since owning the car its had an issue. Where at around 5-5500rpm the engine hicups and loses all power, its like hitting a brick wall. The power then comes back till you hit that rpm range again. Apart from that it runs perfectly, idles beautifully. Has anyone else experience this issue?

I've changed the crank sensor, plugs, leads etc. Yet the issue still remains, any help would be great.

Maybe a dodgy track on the airflow meter. Worn at that position on the wiper. Have a look at www.clarks-garage.com there is a section about the AFM.
