It could be worse

I know a few of us have been suffering lately, noisy steering, rusty sills, contaminated fuel, blown engines etc. etc. but it could be worse:

So, anyone on this forum thinking of buying a second hand one of these, get a history check!!

Saw this earlier today on Titanic - is it wrong to feel a little self-righteous that, although I can't afford a hyper-car, at least I look after the ones I've got?

Keep an eye on e-bay for the spares. They'll be listed under "VW parts"...[&:]

OUCH!!!

Makes you wonder why someone spends £800k on a car and probably should have put a few quid towards learning to drive it.

I realise my S2 is nowhere near this class of car, but it is my intention soon to get someone to teach me to drive mine properly.
Can anybody give me any advice on who I should speak to.

I've done two Carlimits days with Andy Walsh & learned some valuable lessons. Relatively cheap as driver training days go too.

I saw the pistonheads thread too & my feeling is that while the driver may have lacked talent (and whose to say I'd have done better) at least the car was being used & not sitting under a dustsheet [;)]

I was reading on another site can't remember which one it was that the car the veyron crashed into was an Astra van and we all know how much of a lunatic Astar van drivers are

Aparently the driver was doing 100mph in a 40 limit in heavy rain!!!! £20k per day the chap was paying for the hire of the car - Oppps!!!

Hmmm, 20k per day for an 800k car, 40 days to pay for it, plus insurance of course. I'll bet the owners thought they were on to a real winner!
