Hi folks, what can I say. Yes on Wednesday night I announced that I am now standing down as the regional organiser of R3 (or will be once Raby is finished this year).
I have not taken this step lightly and have put a lot of thought into this decision, however I feel that after over 7 years its time for a change. I now no longer own a Porsche and am afraid to say that perhaps my enthusiasm for the marque is not what it was and as a result it would be unfair for me to try and lead/direct the region as I have in the past.
I have made so many good friends as a result of my involvement in the region and have thoroughly enjoyed it all, we have a smashing group of members and I know those of you that have handed me so much support over the last few years will make the region go from strength to strength, I have no doubt, but I am sorry that I no longer feel I can be a part of the leading team that we so obviously have in place all be it unofficially.
I would like to thank you all, its been great and I would like to say that Helen and I will still attend the odd meeting here and there and perhaps even take part in the odd run out in our other german car if not dare I say the french one, occasionally.
