[8D]Cool .. what was your final spec and was it made in Germany or Finland ... Good Luck

Here's the spec but have no idea which factory it was built in?

Standard 2.7 Car - With Black Hood
Seal Grey Metallic Paint
Bose Stereo & Wind Deflector
Half Leather Interior - Black
Sports Steering Wheel
18" Alloys
Heated Seats
Sports Chrono
Climate Control Upgrade
Factory Collection
Xenon Headlights
Park Assist
Auto Dim Mirrors

Looking forward to making the choice each morning of Boxster or 700 quid Skoda - Gonna be tough!

When you get to play with it, give us an update on the Bose system would you?

I've ordered one on mine, but don't know if it was a bit overkill.

You realize that the next 2 weeks are going to go real slow!

Not when you've got a 1.3i Skoda to play with!

Will let you know about the Bose system, had one in ym SLK and it was brill.

Also intend to take alot of photos at the collection centre and on the drive home.

Not yet leaving that to Porsche Travel people and route back will take in Luxy and was thinking about the ring but will save that for another trip as I've only got 3 days to do the whole journey because of work - Being self employed if I don't work I don't get paid.

I think it is 10. I am going to spend 5 days touring. I got the books you recommended on my previous post and they have been very useful. Thanks

I have a provisional date of June for delivery to the OPC. For factory collection, I'm being told I may have to wait until late July or early August. I assume that this extended wait is normal?

Sounds unsusual to have to wait - unless they have a large backlog of cars being picked up around then?
They can only handle so many per day.
It was only a couple of weeks between build being completed and my driving away, when I did it in '01

The 11th character on your VIN denotes the factory:
WPOZZZ98Z5S"¦. S = Stuttgart
WP0ZZZ98Z5U"¦. F = Finland

At the customer collection centre, the factory photographer usually takes a photo of you with your new car and this is presented in a nice A4 size glossy wallet.

Got the confirmation of my collection date today and it's March 4th from the factory, all of a sudden its very real and exciting!!

Planning the route home to take in Stutgart - Luxemborg City - Dinant - Ypres -Calais, around about 500 miles in Europe before UK stretch which will take me from Kent to Banbury and then on to Oswestry before home to Leicestershire.

Here's hoping for OK weather to get the top off.
