I always thought that the piece of stiffening material in the hatch blind had broken at the left
hand end.
Then I read that there was a kit available to fix to the hatch rather than the bottom fixings so
that it didn't need to be unhooked when you wanted to get to the boot and it would stay in place
and rise and fall with the hatch. It stated that this kit could not be used if there was a rear wiper.
So I thought I would look at my car and found that there was already the facility to hook up to
hatch itself that I had not noticed before and that the break in the stiffening was to allow it to
clear the wiper motor!
Am I the only one not to have realised this?
