It's Coming HOME!!!!

Actually.....It IS home [8D][:D]!! Yep, after a total wait of eight months, I finally collected my shiny Black 968 sport/club sport/whatever? Apparently, it hasn't seen rain for years, well it did today [8|]. So much so, that I never got to give Him the "spirited" drive home that I had planned. Never mind, there's always the weekend for getting to know Him a bit better [8D]!! First impressions are excellent though. Every thing felt tight and solid. He handled brilliantly, gear changing was smooth and precise, the engine was incredibly responsive through the rev range and, the exhaust note was deep and crisp and, bought a big silly grin to my mush all the way home [:D]!! Stand by for a barrage of stupid questions on this forum as I start to get to know Him better. Tootle pip.

OK, where's the photos?? 968's are lovely cars, loved my coupe and have enjoyed my cabriolet, hope and expect that your experience will mirror this.

Don't forget the Goodwood meet-up amongst others!

Hi guys, just washed and waxed it and tucked Him up in the garage for a couple of weeks until I can sort out all the things one has to do when buying a new (used) Porsche.....service, fluids, cam belt etc, etc. Looking forward to owning and driving this one. He wont be stuck down at Jon Mitchells for months on end this time that's for sure although, I will have to give Jon a call this coming week to arrange to take Him down to Bournemouth. I can take shed loads of pics but, I am crap posting them (as you all know by now [8|])! Martin, do you feel like coming over for a day out? If so, bring your camera mate [;)]:ROFLMAO:!!

They are on runners and can slide to and fro [:)]. They don't tilt tho' (I don't think). Both the keys have the little Porsche badges missing and, one of them has the whole centre missing. Does anyone know where I can get two new ones from please? Or, is it just the local opc?

You can buy just the key head and fit your key shaft into it. Its not too hard once you have worked out how, I recall it seemed impossible to start with but went together ok on the end.
OPC I would have thought.

when Pete give me a few dates and I will see if I can fit you in, work is really busy and it's starting to use up bits of weekends now

give me a ring soon

buy the way I bought a new key head and two new blades off eBay, had the local key place cut the blade and they just pull out with a pair of pliers, i also got new bulbs and battery's for both keys too

check out eBay item number 391202210571 for your keys

Nice one. Thanks for the replies guys, looks like Mid Sussex OPC. Martin, I'm usually always around or, not too far away. If you fancy a blat to educate me in the ways of the 968 and, take a few pics then, you can expect a "Top Drawer" lunch to be entirely on me Sir [:D].
Of course, that's only if you have the time to spare mate. Don't worry if not. In the meantime, I will also check out e-bay for the keys.
