i just sold my 944s2 cab and want to upgrade to a boxster but don't know what to look out for, any help?

Have a look at this Boxster buying guide on another forum Buyers Guide

All engines prone to oil leaks from the RMS (rear main seal)

2.5 engines - some reports of slipped cylinder liners, which can destroy the engine - Strasse in Leeds now do rebuilds on exchange basis

Large wheels on early cars - rear suspension was modified for fitment of 18" rims on the later cars

Hood - will have the plastic window, so check for tears, suppleness and clarity. Check electric hod operation

Check service history as per the norm.

thanks,i think i could get a 98 or 99 with my cash, this RMS seems to get mentioned a lot i never had one bit of bother from my 944 in 3 years!

hi garry . i bought my first boxster a year ago .your 18000 grand will get you a nice example but take your time and look at a lot before you commit your cash .i test drove several boxsters before finding one that looked and felt right . happy hunting . andy mac

Don't wait too long into summer as there will be far more buyers and you may not get that good a price.
