Ihave a2003 Boxster and seem to have trouble with the wheel badges falling off.I have lost two now in 4500 miles which seems a poor quality issue on an expensive car!Has anyone else had this problem?Taking them all off and resticking with a better glue?If so which one?I have just purchased a Road Angel and would prefer to use a thin cable to the lighter unit. The curled cable is too obtrusive and the thin one much too long. Can anyone suggest a source for a22" thin cable to fit.Ihave tried the usual outlets-phone su
ppliers and Dixons etc. but can only find the curled variety.I bought another cigarette unit and tried splitting the wires and resoldering but could not get a good electrical conection.Any ideas anyone?

i've only ever lost one crest off my wheels in 30.000 miles and im sure that was knicked by someone in tesco's car park.

Do you mean these centres Tony ??
If so then i think the plastic ones are rubbish as they dont grip well atall to the rim.
I had metal coloured crests on my 964 and you had to tap them with a hammer to remove them.
The crest is supposed to point to the tyre valve but its a waste of time with these ones as soon as you drive they turn around.

Elliot,

I think Tony must have the coloured crests. The badge part is seperate and it sounds like it can fall off/get levered off easily []

I'm suprised your wheel centres turn - I have had the same ones as you for 24000 miles and they have always pointed to the valve.

Strange?

They are quite expensive from Porsche in the UK.
You can get them from French or German dealers much cheaper.
Or you can also get them from such as Jasmine or PorscheApart for about £80ish a set.

Here's one I photo'd earlier (couple of weeks ago), just after I had used my new wheel cleaning kit[:)]

How embarassing[8|]
