Has anyone purchased a jacking plate adapter for a 997 and if so where? Would an adpater for a 996 fit a 99? I would like to protect the jacking points on my 997 when using a trolley jack.but I cant seem to find one advertised for a 997

Does One need a slimline jack to fit under the car in the first place ? I couldnt get the jack under my old M3 when it had been lowered on the Eibach Springs and the 997 doesnt look any more accomodating !

Where should you place the axle stands also ?

Just about to purchase a new trolley jack so could do with knowing ASAP.

Regards

True - I have one too... (Boxster S - Sport Suspension)

But I bet it doesn't fit with a jacking plate as well...[&:]

If someone sends me one for free then I'll volunteer to carry out a full and detailed investigation of the question and report back to the Forum within an agreed timescale... [:D]

Halford's standard 2.5 tonne jack fits under a 996.

I have saved enough Shell Pluspoints from all the Optimax I have treated my cars to in order to cash them in for a new jack. I was looking at the Halfords jack which is rated at 2 tonnes on their web site. Assume thats man enough.

Why do you need a jacking plate particularly, is it just to aesthetically protect a piece of rock hard moulded plastic under the car that you cant see anyway ?
