Hi everyone, a Very Hapy New Year to you all,[FONT=verdana, geneva"]Tomorrow nights meeting will be in the Cottage which is the left-hand back room within the Gardeners Inn for those not aware, not in the Function room at the rear of the pub. I sensed that whilst the bigger room was ideal for speakers and on Antiques event evenings, it was not everyone's cup of tea. Visiting the pub recently to notify them of the change of room I was dumbfounded to learn that we couldn't have the Function room any more even if we wanted it, because it was being demolished, together with much of the rear of the pub!! Yes the pub is being rebuilt to include new kitchens and disabled toilets, and will be closed from the 26th January to the 11th May 2006 - quelle domage.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]I have visited the Ardingly Inn and met Darren, Mine Host, and he has offered us a room, choice of two indeed. The pub is in the centre of Ardingly Village, Street Lane, RH17 6UA for Navigation gizmos. It has its own car park at the rear, and there is an off-road public car park opposite. They serve good food and for the connoisseurs, Real Ale. I offer this information in advance of tomorrows meeting so those who wish may have a peek before the meeting.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]I will be on holiday from the 26th January to the 24th February so will miss the first meeting at the Ardingly Inn if everyone agrees that is the place to go. I have asked Phil if you would stand-in for me, and he has agreed, many thanks Phil.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]See you all tomorrow, safe journey.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]best regards, JJ, Regional Organiser [:)][FONT=verdana, geneva"]
