January Meeting Cancelled

I know there's over a day to go until our January meeting tomorrow but we already have 6" of snow here in the South Pennines, it's still snowing and the forecast is poor, so I have decided to cancel tomorrow night's meeting.

I was proposing to discuss possible events for 2010 at the meeting but instead will post a list of suggestions on the forum so that they can be firmed up by early February.

Our next get together will be the Christmas 'do' on 16th January. We have almost finalised the menu choices with everyone and will be sorting out the rooms with The Owl in the next day or so. If there are any other things to complete our arrangements I will e-mail all who are attending.

Finally, we have been invited to an open day at PC Sheffield's Body Shop on 23rd January. I will post more details of this in the next few days after confirming them with the Body Shop Manager.

Happy New Year!

Hi all, Due to this month's meeting cancellation, can you all let me know asap whether you are going to the Clay Pigeon Shoot on Sunday 14 Feb as I need numbers soon with £25 per head payable in advance (non-returnable) at Feb's meeting. As mentioned - I have organised a lunch at Nags Head, Routh for around 12.30pm at a cost of £10.95 per couple. Really wanted to chat about this at tomorrow's meeting but we could meet up at Humber Bridge at 9ish then convoy to Bishop Burton for 10ish. (timings to be decided soonest) You can post here or email me on John.Bushby@britvic.co.uk See you all at the dinner on 16th.

I am glad I read this today because I dont want to make the same mistake I did last year when it was snowed off and be the only person there! [:D]
