A Happy New year to all members.

Once again we start a New Year and I am in the process of compiling another series of events for 2007. Not an easy task as one has to await other Club and Regions' plans so that everything fits in. Nevertheless, we are pretty full for the first half of the year. Including as you should know by now, a new and great meeting place for our monthly meetings.

February the 15th, will see our last meet on the third Thursday. From then on, to avoid conflict with the meetings of other clubs, I am changing to the First Tuesday in the Month from March onwards.
This is the best time to do this as there is a reasonable gap between the meeting dates. The place for 2007, will be, the Bear Inn, Berkswell near Meriden, 8pm onwards. Including complimentary hot beverages, parking provision and a private room.

On Sunday, April 29th we have arranged a joint meeting with the North West Region No.5 at Trentham Gardens, south of Stoke on Trent. This is proposed as a combined event for any Region and will include other attractions including a Concours. Watch for further information. I have had to move the Clay Pigeon Shoot to give space for this, probably now in June, see next Month.

If you have any particular interest in any talks or events, contact me and I will do my best to oblige"¦
My address is "Elmwood Barn, Hadley, Droitwich, Worcs., WR9 0AX". My telephone number is 01905 620687, which has been reported incorrectly in the past.
Cast your eyes over Region 13 prospectus for 2007, which includes many events that can or will be shared with West Midlands.

I hope that at least some of you will have enjoyed the hospitality at the Bear Inn, Berkswell this month and I look forward to seeing you on Thursday 15th February at around 8pm.

The new meeting date is just one day after the East mids meeting, which will mean it is much less likely that folks will come to both.[&o]

Larry, I've not noticed a large overlap of members attending both regions, however Yes here are some..
But importantly, locally there are quite a few other club meets around the original Thursday meet, this is one of the reasons that John has moved the date.
As you know John is RO for two regions and I believe it also allows him to give more time to both regions and his other commitments.
As ever it may not suit all people, but you have to give John praise for taking on the comments of the Regions members and trying to find a happy medium for them.
