hi

just wondering if anyone has used the jasmine porschalink uk mail order company as advertised in the club magazine?

i am after a new set of headlight lenses and rubbers. jasmine tell me the lens and rubber comes as one assembled item whereas the opc (lancaster cambridge) tell me it's 2 seperate items bought individually.

does jasmine supply genuine parts or patent copies?

finally - anyone up to speed on the best prices for michelin pilot sports and if so where to buy them from?

cheers

Keith,
12 months ago I paid 745 for a complete set for my 17" wheels.
So that's not very up to date. But is a guide.
That was in Glasgow.

I've used Jasmine Porschelink for headlamp lenses. I had no problem with them. However, try Euro Car parts on line. I found them cheaper than Jasmine for new front foglights.

The cheapest place for Michelins is Costco. Alternatively you can get Kwikfit or some of the other chains to price match Costco. Last time I did this I got four Michelin Pilot Sports with the correct N rating for about £500 all in on 17" rims.

Good luck.

Jasmine and Euro Car Parts supply genuine parts in Bosch boxes.

I've bought allsorts from Jasmine and not had any problems yet. Brian is a helpful chap, but only if he thinks you're going to spend some filthy luca.
And the warehouse is so clean and tidy you wouldn't think there was a second-hand part in the place.
No idea on tyre I'm affraid, although it's about time I thought about them...

Re tyres: best price I could get for the rear 17inch Michelin pilot sports was £165 each from Black Circles (Elite Tyres at Rainham would match), but having seen the Michelins only lasted 10,000 miles, decided to go for N rated Bridgestones at £300 a pair from Elite.

I am much happier with the Bridgestone being able to deal with standing water - I found the Michelins would easily aquaplane, so worth considering.......
