I have now have some details for next Saturday's visit to the JCT600 Bodyclinic in Bradford (320 Sticker Lane, Bradford, BD4 8RJ). The day will kick off from 10.00 and go on until about 2.00pm or when we have finished and will include a buffet lunch.

The day is going to be a very much hands on day as with previous visits, but will inlude some different aspects that we haven't seen before. Andrew Harrison, the centre manager, has a classic concours quality Ford Escort RS2000 which will hopefully be on display and a number of his staff are complete Porsche nuts. Some of the new things that we can expect to see are:

  • Wheel Refurbishment - in real time a complete wheel from start to finish.
  • Plastic Welding - got a hole, or bit missing see replacement sections welded in like new.
  • Dent removal - a dent removal expert will be demonstrating the application/removal of dents.
  • 993 restoration - removeal of wings, scuttle panels, sills, bumper repairs.
  • Body preparation
  • Painting
  • Welding
  • Quotations
  • Usual body shop process.

This promises to be a day with new things to learn and have a go at, so if you are interested then please sign up below or drop me an email as we need numbers for catering purposes.

Can't make this one Mark. We'll be at the Cholmondeley Pageant of Power in Cheshire.

Brilliant event last year.

Is there room for one more?

My family get together looks like it is cancelled so would like to take a look at this.

Thanks for organising this and all the guys at JCT.

Special thanks to Carl of Dent Vanish and the excellent work he did on my car as part of the demo. Looks as good as new.

Highly recommended 07932 234312 www.dentvanishltd.co.uk

Have to agree with Hilly, it was a very informative day, some of the work we saw being undertaken was impressive, the dent removal guys was very good, along with the wheel refurb and stone chip removal, made you understand why OPC cars are more expensive than Indy dealers.

Thanks to the Guys at JCT for their hospitality and to Mark for organizing it.

It was nice to see someone else sweating whilsh someone was working on their pride and joy with hammers and pieces of bent metal wrapped in gaffer tape.

Steve

Mark,
Thank you and the guys at JCT for a great day. It was really informative and a little scary when they attacked the roof with the buffing wheel! however the results were impressive, really glad I was able to make it.
Thanks again,
Tony

I don't know if they put anything on after they had machined it, but if not I would get some wax on it just to help keep it that way.

That's a good idea! I was that pleased with getting rid of the scratch, I never even thought about applying wax - I'll get it done this weekend.
Thanks,
Mark
