Gawwwwwwwwd you just cant win with some ppl.

Chatting the other day with a guy at work about the merits of various cars and got onto the Boxster subject.

Usual uninformed comments of hairdressers car, girls car etc followed up with the all time classic, poor mans porsche for ppl who cant afford a 911.

Well now ive ordered one suddenly im a flash bastard with more money than i kno what to do with.

Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzuuuuuuuussssssssssssssssssssssss

I usually keep my OPC (offical porsche customer) status to myself. Two years on and I'm still embarrased to mention it (most of the ladies will probably be assuming I'm compensating for something [;)]). I've not had people ignorantly say it's a poor man's Porsche though, most people are very complimentary about it, but I still feel a pratt all the same. Wait 'til you get the w@nker comments, very hard to keep your composure when stopped at busy lights and some chav shouts an insult, although you'll probably get more "nice car mate" comments than insults, just as embarassing as the insults all the same, pity they only ever come from men, well in my experience anyway.

"Fcuk the begrudgers", as they say where I come from.

Porsche is a Porsche... no such thing of a poor mans porsche, lets face it even if you have a old porsche you still need to keep the old girl on road. You also have to ensure it, Porsche's are not a cheap car to keep.....924 to 911 turbo they all have the same badge.
The Boxster is a fantastic car enjoy.
