Jerky Throttle

Hello All, I have owned by 99 boxster 2.5 for a couple of weeks now and am loving it, the noise, the handling etc - wonderful.[:)]

However, I do have one issue concerning a jerky throttle. In slow traffic, at low revs its hard to keep at a constant speed and it starts 'hunting" At higher speeds and higher revs, lifting off and reapplying the throttle results in a massive jerk and just cannot be done smoothly.[&:]

Is this normal and am I just being heavy footed or is there a problem with the car?

Any help appreciated as it is spoiling my enjoyment of an otherwise very nice car.

[] Certainly not the car. Boxsters are silky smooth and have fantastic throttle response in or out of slow traffic so I would get it checked out sooner rather than later so you can nreally enjoy your new toy [8D]

How old is your battery? I had a similar problem in my 2002 where when i'd put my foot on the clutch in traffic to stop it from stalling, the engine would mysteriously rev - since i've changed my battery (it just died on me), it seems fine now - must have been something to do with the power somewhere i think...

Seems to have settled down.

I dont think the previous owner ran it on optimax but its now re-adjusted to it.

Thanks for feedback
