Jezza's S2 on TG

It looked a bit rough but for 1500 what can you expect. He seemed to get to the Alps and back ok. Do these cars they buy get a once over first or do they just drive them.
Actually I'm not sure I've seen an S2 for 1500?

Other than cat c, mot failure etc. neither have I. Don't forget, though, that the advertised price isn't the sale price. I'm sure I could buy an S2 for £1500 by making offers until I find a desperate seller. Not a good way to buy a "keeper" though. [&:]

I really did like the interior though. The body-colour strip on the dash suited it perfectly IMO....

£1500 is cheap for an S2...for that kind of money, when I first read about it, I thought the best they could find was a half-decent really early 2.5. Recession eh?

Is it wrong for me to be drafting an email to see if they're willing to sell the rear hatch with that bridge spoiler?

As far as I can tell, he never took any hit from behind? Wasn't watching too closely though, and as I don't have Sky+, so can't go back and check...

It wasn't the tidiest example with a big scrape and dent in the nearside rear wing and a few bubbles of rust around the rear wheel arch and it had done over 200k miles. I'd bet he had plenty of change out of £1500 left. If you were to buy it to restore you'd be looking at spending that a few times over before you got it straight.

I wasn't considering buying and restoring it...but if it has a working ABS pump/system, I'm tempted to pinch it for my S2!
Also, I quite fancy the bridge spoiler'd rear hatch...
And the D90s too - always nice to have some spare wheels.

If the rust is coming through the rear arches, I dread to think what the sills look like. [:)]

D90's are pretty plentiful on Ebay. If none are up at the moment just wait a few weeks and some will crop up.

True...I'm not desperately after some D90s at the moment, it's very much on the "nice to have" list.

That bridge spoiler and rear hatch though...now that would be nice! [:)]

I would imagine like most of their 'challenges' its all entirely scripted for the cameras so who knows if the cars actually did the drive or were they just trailered there for the TV shots ?

I bet the Marina drove there ok [;)]
