I 've been putting it off for months but now i can't work out how to get in there but various switches have disappeared into the door/dash!

The passenger window control on drivers door
The dashlight rheostat
The wiper delay slider

Will I need new 'bits' to secure these once i'm in there as I presume something will have broken.

You mite get away with a dab of superglue as I did with my window switch. Not too hard to do as the switch panels comes off the door card. My dash rheostat has also pushed in a little but no too far as I can't use (although why I would want to is beyond me. They aren't known for the best dash lighting). Would be a bit of a nightmare to get in to dab some glue on that one but worth a try before you shell out on new switches, which is what you will probably have to do.
