From the sound of it this is something that won't "just polish out", but get well soon and do as the physio tells you!
Many people knock the NHS, but their treatment of my injury has been exemplary, even down to the standard of the food in hospital. Without their dilligence and skill I could well have been looking for a tiller mounted tiptronic, suitable for one handed operation. It is still early days but even so I can feel some rotational movement.
There is a basic rule for the use of ladders which states that three points of contact must be maintained at all times, and I have to confess to letting the frustration of the recent poor weather leading me to neglect this fundamental; something went wrong with my estimation of the inherent strength of so called strong garden twine (my ar5e) and the fall was inevitable under these circumstances.
Thanks to all the surgeons, doctors, nurses and HCAs at Wexham who made my stay tolerable.
