Thanks to Julie Knox we have acquired the route for a country drive from DURHAM CLASSIC CAR CLUB which we plan to run on SUNDAY JUNE 3RD. Start point is the PACK HORSE INN,TANFIELD(DH9 9PX).The route is 70 miles long, you will receive a simple to follow but comprehensive route book which will take you through some fantastic scenery mainly in the Wear Valley and finishing at the PARK HEAD CAFE near Stanhope where there is the possibility of a recommended reasonably priced lunch. We plan to gather in the pub car park from 9.30am for a 10.00am start.A fun half day out in great company should be had by all.If you are interested could you let us know and also if lunch is wanted that would helpful to know so we can hopefully book some tables.Any questions please contact .

Hi everyone

The weather looks like it's going to be dry so a good run out should be had on Sunday. If anyone else wants to join in can you please let us know asap so we can confirm numbers. We'll be giving Park Head Cafe a buzz tomorrow afternoon. Please remember to let us know if you have any dietry needs that we need to make them aware of.

Here's my number incase anyone has any problems on the day 07940891620.

Look forward to seeing you all.

Simon and Mags :p

Hi Simon
Are there any toilets at our meeting place as some of us have to come a fair way to get there?

Hi Marty although the pub is allowing us to use their car park,it will be closed. However there is a community centre opposite which may be open because of the Jubilee celebrations. There are toilets marked on the actual route which may be a help.
Cheers Simon

Thanks Simon and Mags, well organised and great fun today. Some super driving roads, good pub lunch, fantastic company and superb banter.
Had excellent time with Peter Rich, on the way over on some pretty twisty country roads.
As usual Mags you have excelled with the baking, seemed a shame to eat the Porsche biscuits when we got home but temptation won the day.
Shame about the weather, rain as usual, (still managed most of the way with the top down!) but that R3 spirit shone through again.
Thanks again to Simon & Mags for the organisation, thanks to the rest of you for the great company, looking forward to our next outing.
